Oct 18 - New Release

  • Bernard Parmegiani : Mémoire Magnétique, vol.1 (1966-1990)
    Vinyle – TRS08 - Transversales Disques
« Suite de raretés, ces musiques d’application témoignent du vaste panorama dans lequel Bernard Parmegiani évoluait . Prenant de la distance avec le cadre du concert, ses codes et usages, ce travail pour l’image est d’une spontanéité réjouissante. » Maxime Barthelemy

Sept 18 - New Release

  • Bernard Parmegiani : Les Soleils de l'Ile de Pâques / La Brûlure de Mille soleil
(2 versions) on Vinyl and CD/wrwtfww008/wrwtfww009 – Mental Grove
"Bernard Parmegiani explored the relationship between music and images throughout his career. This explains the constant relay between his electroacoustic works and his writing music for film. He began with experimental short films, most often animations. His first joint venture with director Pierre Kast was a medium length animation, La Brûlure de Mille Soleils [The Burning of A Thousand Suns], in 1965. It was followed by, amongst others, Les Soleils de l'Ile de Pâques [The Suns of Easter Island] in 1972. What links the music for these two films, now being released together on double vinyl, is not only the solar reference of their respective titles but also their shared Science Fiction-style characteristics."

-the graphic indications by the composer's hand.
    - a documented folder taken from the composition diary + program notes.
